The service

Travel Trends (travel-trends.mmatinca.eu) is a free European tourism explorer and travel-disruption radar, available as a website and as an MCP endpoint for AI assistants (https://travel-trends.mmatinca.eu/mcp/v1) plus an A2A endpoint. No account is needed and no payment is ever requested.

Decision support, not a guarantee

Disruption events come from official public sources (transport operators, meteorological services, authorities) and are refreshed continuously; tourism panels come from Eurostat and INSSE open data. Coverage is deliberately transparent: the status page and every assessment disclose which sources are live and which countries or domains are blind spots. Absence of an event in our data is not proof that nothing is happening, and an assessment is not a guarantee about your trip. Always follow the instructions of carriers and local authorities.

Not a replacement for airline notifications

Travel Trends complements, and does not replace, the notifications of your airline or booking channel — we cover the rest of the journey (ground transport, weather, strikes, local disruptions).

Acceptable use

The MCP endpoint is rate-limited. Automated bulk extraction of the dataset, attempts to disrupt the service, and any unlawful use are not permitted. Webhook URLs registered via watch_trip must be endpoints you control; private-network and non-HTTPS URLs are rejected.

Liability

The service is provided free of charge and "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for decisions taken based on the data, including missed or delayed event detection — source coverage and delivery (including webhooks) are best effort and are reported honestly rather than guaranteed.
